OMNY Card

Student OMNY Cards are:

  • Good for 4 free rides each day.  Students can tap a Student OMNY Card whenever they want to take up to 4 free trips every day of the week, any time of the day.
    • This includes a free transfer between the subway and local, limited, and Select Bus Service buses, or a free transfer between buses.
  • Valid all year long. Student OMNY Cards do not expire until the next school year.
OMNY Cards are issued to students based on the student’s eligibility. Eligibility is the ONLY factor that determines whether or not the student is to receive a OMNY Card. Eligibility is based on the walking distance from the student’s home to the school. Family income is NOT part of the eligibility criteria. 
 
Only the student who receives the OMNY Card in school is permitted to use it. OMNY Cards are NOT transferable to other students, to parents, or to anyone else. Violation of this policy will result in a loss of transportation privileges for the rest of the school year. 
 
A completed “Request Replacement for OMNY Card” application must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian for a lost or stolen OMNY Card. It will take approximately a week to replace a lost OMNY Card and students will have to pay full fare until the new card is ready. It is the responsibility of the student to pick up the application from the school's main office and bring it back signed by a parent or guardian the following school day.
